Yosemite Vacation Rentals

All You Need To Know About Vacation Rentals In Yosemite.

Many visitors choose to go with Yosemite rentals for accommodation in Yosemite National Park. A rental offers so much more freedom than a hotel, lodge, bed and breakfast, or campsite and there are many to choose from. In addition, vacation rentals are often well placed near to some of Yosemite’s most interesting sights and offer better privacy. There are vacation rentals both in Yosemite National Park, out near the main entrances, and also within reach in nearby towns and communities.

Scenic Wonders Yosemite Vacation Homes: This is the highest rated Yosemite rental accommodation, with everything from look-alike chateaux to studio condominiums. Chateau Royal West and Chateau Royal East are the most luxurious and come in at hundreds of dollars per night. Chateau Royal West is a magnificent, three-bedroom home with large windows and a monumental dining room. The studio condos are single-room units that are much softer on the wallet. Scenic Wonders lodgings are well within reach of Yosemite Valley, Glacier Point, Wawona Golf Course, and the Badger Pass Ski Area.

Yosemite Vacation Homes: Featuring 11 homes and cabins in the Foresta area (west Yosemite) that are available on a per night basis. These are one, two and three-bedroom Yosemite rentals in Wawona, which is just within the southern entrance of Yosemite National Park. Yosemite Valley is seven miles away and a ski resort, golf course and Yosemite Village are also well within reach. Vacation rentals are furnished and come with kitchens.

Vacations rentals outside Yosemite

There are cheaper and sometimes better options for Yosemite rentals just outside the park and in the many towns and communities surrounding it. Highways 120, 140, and 41 all have vacation rentals and the likes of El Portal even have shuttle bus access (YARTS bus) to and from Yosemite Village.

Oakhurst is the closest major town and is an hour to the south on Highway 41. It has the most Yosemite rentals and also has normal town facilities like restaurants, stores, and bars. Sugar Pine and Fish Camp are closer communities to the south entrance and also have vacation rentals. This route eventually connects up with Wawona inside the park and then onto Yosemite Village.

The closest outside community to Yosemite Village with Yosemite rentals is El Portal, which is a few miles west of Foresta on the 140 – it is a 40-minute drive from Yosemite Village. Incline, Briceburg, Midpines, and Mariposa are farther along this highway. Up on Highway 120 - on the main route from San Francisco to Yosemite - are the towns and communities of Groveland, Buck Meadows, and Colfax Spring. Groveland is about 40 miles west of the entrance; a 90-minute drive. Lee Vining and Mono City - off to the east - also have vacation rentals, yet access to the park from there is more limited in the off-season due to the Tioga Pass becoming snowbound.
